The Spirit of the Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, functionality, and safety of parking garages, surface lots, and related facilities. Your work helps ensure customers experience a clean and well-maintained environment while supporting the operational success of the location.

This role requires a self-motivated individual who enjoys physical work, problem-solving, and taking ownership of facility maintenance responsibilities.

What You'll Do

Facility Maintenance



  • Perform daily maintenance and janitorial services throughout garages and surface parking lots.
  • Complete light maintenance repairs and facility improvement projects.
  • Repair walls, replace light bulbs, and perform painting and touch-up work as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, fixtures, signage, and facility surfaces.
  • Monitor facility conditions and proactively identify maintenance needs.


Cleaning & Upkeep



  • Sweep, scrub, and maintain parking garage floors and common areas.
  • Operate floor sweepers, scrubbers, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Empty trash receptacles and remove debris from parking facilities.
  • Maintain clean, professional, and customer-friendly environments.
  • Ensure all assigned maintenance checklists are completed accurately and on time.


Safety & Operations



  • Conduct routine facility inspections and identify safety concerns.
  • Report maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with snow removal and winter weather management.
  • Help maintain safe sidewalks, parking areas, stairwells, and entrances.
  • Follow company safety procedures and operational standards.


Customer Service & Team Support



  • Interact professionally with customers, clients, and coworkers.
  • Assist with customer concerns when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding facility conditions.
  • Support operational needs across multiple facility locations as assigned.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required



  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.


    • The City of Denver requires that all candidates pass an English proficiency exam.


  • Valid driver's license with 2 years of driving experience.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to meet airport badging requirements.
  • General facility maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to understand and follow established policies and procedures.


Preferred



  • Parking industry experience.
  • Building, janitorial, or maintenance experience.
  • Experience operating floor scrubbers, sweepers, or similar maintenance equipment.
  • Snow removal and seasonal facility maintenance experience.
  • Customer-facing service experience.


Education



  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.


Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:



  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, wind, and cold temperatures.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach.
  • Operate maintenance equipment and company vehicles safely.
  • Perform physical labor associated with facility maintenance and property upkeep.
