Exciting Opportunity at MSK:Join our team as a Clinical Nurse - Per Diem in Surgical Oncology Office Practice Services. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase compassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make an important impact.

Role Overview:

  • Work within a Nurse-Physician/APP based Ambulatory Care Practice Model.

  • Provide clinical support and assist with management of a caseload of surgical oncology patients.

  • Perform patient assessment, symptom management, and telephone triage and offer patient/family education.

  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up.

  • Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum.

  • Join in an individualized training/orientation program geared to providing nursing care in ambulatory setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • New York State RN license and BSN

  • 1.5 years of related medical/surgical experience preferred

  • 1.5 - 2 years of oncology experience highly preferred

  • Ambulatory procedural experience and specimen collection experience preferred

Additional Information:

  • Location: MSKCC Commack, 650 Commack Road, Commack, New York 11725

  • Schedule: Per diem schedule 10-hour shifts, flexed Monday - Friday 7:30AM-7PM. Six shifts per quarter as needed

  • Reports to: Nurse Leader
