Associate Specialist- Kheirbek Lab

Department of Psychiatry

University of California, San Francisco

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is now recruiting an Associate Specialist. The job duties and responsibilities will include:

The candidate will lead studies related to neural circuit dysfunction in models of mood and anxiety-related behavior. The candidate will perform systems neuroscience studies, and oversee and train students and postdocs in performing their studies. Specifically, the candidate will perform high-density neural recordings in behaving mice, to determine the neural computation that underlie adaptive fear related behavior and how they relate to bodily states.

Required Qualifications:

* A master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* A PhD
