Overview

This is an in office role and will be located in the Raleigh, NC office.

This position will provide daily assistance to the Manager of Building Automation Systems. Responsible for the installation, oversight, commissioning, and calibration of all current and new building automation systems operated by Branch, Base Buildings, and Critical Facilities teams. Objectives require technicians to be an analytical person on technical challenges, and to fully understand how facilities operate. Work with Senior Technicians to ensure facilities operate as efficiently as possible through control systems maintained by the BAS Team.


Responsibilities

  • System installation - lead the installation and configuration of BAS components, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards. Maintains close relationships with all CRE team members, professional organizations, and vendors to remain current on industry standards and trends. Assists Manager of Building Automation Systems with forecasting system growth, as well as infrastructure requirements, through liaison with Bank department leaders and managers. Provides support on hardware & software risk management and ensures participation in audits.
  • Supporting Functions - Ensures expectations are met to achieve company and department goals. Supports appropriate changes to BAS policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Supports the performance, training, and evaluation of BAS Technicians.
  • Technical - FCB utilizes a complex system of building automation as centralized control for our building's heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, and other systems. Through proper programming and oversight this role will help ensure all FCB facilities operate at the highest level of efficiency, at all hours of the day.
  • Vendor Management - Ensures daily vendor interactions result in meeting the departments objectives, improve services, optimize pricing, and keeps up with industry best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Knowledgeable in HVAC & Electrical systems, maintenance/construction management systems, supervisory experience, building maintenance, building operations, supervision of vendors, project management.

OR

High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Knowledgeable in HVAC & Electrical systems, maintenance/construction management systems, supervisory experience, building maintenance, building operations, supervision of vendors, project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of BAS, mechanical, electrical, life safety monitoring, and control systems typically used in base building / critical environments
  • Proactive in planning and execution of tasks that have been prioritized by risk factors and need
  • Knowledgeable in HVAC & Electrical systems, maintenance/construction management systems, supervisory experience, building maintenance, building operations, supervision of vendors, project management.
  • Knowledge or certification in Distech, Niagara, Honeywell, and Allerton Controls. Strong communication abilities, excellent procedural experience, with a proven track record in managing multiple objectives concurrently. Strong technical aptitude with facility management and vendor management experience
