Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, 5 years of professional experience, and valid state licensure

Preferred Qualifications
UHC Minimum:
*Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program.
*Active licensure in the State of Georgia.
*7-10 years of experience providing psychological services in a university counseling center or comparable setting.
*Demonstrated proficiency in independent clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
*Capacity to work effectively in a cross cultural, interdisciplinary environment.
*2-5 years of experience supervising licensed mental health professionals.
*2 years of experience with program assessment, evaluation, or quality improvement initiatives in higher education or healthcare.
* AHA Heartsaver CPR/ AED certification (or ability to obtain after hire).

UHC Preferred:
*2 years of experience coordinating embedded or decentralized service delivery models.
*Training or applied experience in community psychology, systems level intervention, or prevention science.
*At least 1 year of experience with telehealth service delivery and integrated care models.
*Demonstrated success collaborating with academic leadership and institutional stakeholders.
Position Summary
The Coordinator of Embedded Campus Programs is a senior clinician within Counseling and Psychiatric Services ( CAPS) and reports to the Senior Director of CAPS and the Fontaine Center. This position is responsible for providing direct clinical services, including individual, group, and crisis counseling, as well as consultation, outreach, and supervision of trainees and staff. In addition to clinical responsibilities, this position leads the development and management of embedded counseling services in academic and campus units. This role collaborates with university stakeholders to enhance access to care, promote early intervention, and support student mental health and academic success. This is a 11-month position, off the month of June.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of counseling psychology theory, evidencebased interventions, and college student mental health.
  • Knowledge of developmental, cultural, and environmental factors affecting student wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of traumainformed, culturally responsive, and ethical clinical practice standards.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation systems and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Strong consultation and facilitation skills for working with faculty, staff, and administrators.

Clinical Services
* Provide independent, evidencebased psychological services, including advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention for students presenting with complex, highacuity, and cooccurring mental health conditions.
* Serve as a senior clinical authority for complex, highrisk, and multidisciplinary student cases, exercising advanced professional judgment and providing consultation to CAPS leadership, academic administrators, and campus partners.
* Lead clinical decisionmaking in situations with significant institutional, ethical, and riskmanagement implications, ensuring adherence to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and university policies.
* Design, implement, and evaluate strategic outreach, prevention, and earlyintervention initiatives aligned with departmental goals and broader institutional priorities for student success, retention, and wellbeing.
* Act as a primary clinical representative for CAPS in highlevel campus initiatives, committees, and task forces related to student wellbeing and belonging, crisis response, threat assessment, and institutional mental health strategy.
* Elevates campuswide mental health practices by leading policy development, delivering expert consultation, and driving systemslevel improvements that strengthen longterm effectiveness and sustainability.

* Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the design, expansion, and sustainability of embedded mental health programs, aligning services with university priorities and emerging student needs.
* Lead program design, evaluation, and continuous improvement, including development of outcomes metrics, analysis of utilization data, and preparation of reports for senior leadership.
* Develop, implement, and oversee clinical response protocols for embedded counseling settings, ensuring consistency with CAPS standards while exercising discretion to adapt services to unitspecific needs and populations.
* Serve as the primary liaison to senior academic and administrative leadership for embedded programs, advising on service models, scope, and resource allocation.
* Provide advanced mentorship, consultation, and leadership to licensed clinicians and embedded providers, supporting ethical decisionmaking, clinical excellence, and consistency of practice across service models.
* Formalize standards, workflows, and best practices for embedded counseling models to ensure quality and consistency across units.
* Guide long range planning and service expansion, anticipating emerging mental health trends, regulatory changes, and institutional demands.
* Lead innovative service delivery initiatives that prioritize prevention-focused and population-based approaches, fostering access, improved student outcomes, and belonging.
