Responsibilities

    Serves as the Student Life advisior to all Long Island campus clubs and advisor to Fraternity and Sorority Life at both New York campuses. Develops and implements officers' trainings, expansion processes, chapter/colony development and succession, staying informed of current national/local requirements and guidelines. Administers all processes related to accreditation, chapter and club growth, budgeting, and event management.
  • Assists with supporting and staffing campus events; Support with planning and day-of operations of the Office of Student Life. Develops Student Life related projects that may include marketing, social media, student and staff training, programming and development.
  • Supervise Student Life Coordinator; Oversee, assist, and collaborate with student recreation program using campus partners and local resources in the development and implementation of it for both campuses.
  • Other duties as assigned by Associate Director, Assistant Dean, Associate Dean, Dean of Students and Associate Provost for Student Engagement and Development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs or other closely related field
  • Required field of expertise: Significant experience leading in areas related to student leadership development, student involvement, or related fields
  • Knowledge of student affairs
  • Knowledge of student programming and leadership development
  • Knowledge of working in a complex organizational culture
  • Knowledge of working with a diverse student population
  • Ability to lead initiatives in an independent manner
