Job Summary

This position is essential to support systemic semiconductor and manufacturing workforce program success through integrated recruitment, student navigation, and industry engagement.

This position ensures students receive comprehensive, end-to-end support from initial outreach through program completion and transition to employment. This position directly impacts enrollment growth, retention, completion rates, and employment outcomes while maintaining alignment with workforce needs, institutional priorities, and grant requirements.

This position has an end date of June 30, 2027.

To best serve the students, department, and college, this position is fully in-person.

Essential Functions

Recruitment, Outreach, and Enrollment Management

(30%) Leads outreach and recruitment efforts through community engagement and partnership collaboration; manages student pipelines, conducts follow-up, and facilitates onboarding and orientation processes to support enrollment growth in credit and non-credit programs. Maintains ongoing communication with students through targeted outreach (email campaigns, check-ins, workforce guidance); monitors student progress and coordinates interventions in collaboration with faculty and support services.

Student Navigation and Success Coaching

(25%) Provides workforce-focused support, career coaching, and program navigation; supports students throughout their lifecycle using proactive communication, case management strategies, and referrals to support services to ensure retention and completion.

Industry/College Engagement and Program Coordination

(20%) Serves as a liaison between the college and industry partners; supports relationship-building, coordinates hiring events, classroom presentations, and tours. Coordinates program activities, recruitment events, and stakeholder meetings; manages logistics, communication, and execution to support program visibility and success.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination

(15%) Works with faculty, program leadership, student services, and district teams to resolve student concerns, support program delivery, and ensure alignment with workforce and academic requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling classes, instructors, equipment, rooms, and class supplies; employer partner presentations; virtual info sessions; and tours.

Data Tracking, Reporting, and KPI Monitoring

(10%) Tracks enrollment, retention, and completion metrics; analyzes student and program data; contributes to reporting and continuous improvement efforts aligned with key performance indicators. Performs other duties as assigned commensurate to the grade level of the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related field and two (2) years of full-time equivalent progressively responsible student services experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

OR

Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related field and four (4) years of full-time equivalent progressively responsible student services experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered

Desired Qualifications
  1. Experience in workforce development, student success programs, or higher education
  2. Experience with recruitment, outreach, and enrollment strategies
  3. Experience using student information systems, CRM tools, or reporting platforms
  4. Experience coordinating events, employer engagement, or partnerships
  5. Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting data
  6. One year of full-time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two years.


Special Working Conditions

  • May require travel to campuses, community events, and employer partner locations

  • May require occasional evening or weekend hours for recruitment events or student engagement activities

  • Light physical activity, including lifting up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
