Herzing University has an opportunity for you to share your experience and engage our student population as Adjunct (part-time) Faculty within the Surgical Technology Program.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency. Posses a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCAA).
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology (or a combination of both) within the past 5 years.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills necessary to maintain positive, professional interactions with students, alumni, faculty, and employer partners.


Preferred:



  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of programmatic accreditation and regulatory standards established by CAAHEP for Surgical Technology programs.
  • Experience teaching hands on skills to new surgical technologists or students.
