Summary Job description : The Performance Management Program Manager at Airgas Package Gas Operations is a strategic leadership role within the FIT Program, dedicated to institutionalizing a high-performance culture across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Package Gas Efficiencies and Cylinder Assets, this role transcends basic monitoring to drive national strategic execution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement through a disciplined project management approach. Key Responsibilities: The Program Manager's mandate is divided into three critical areas: Special Projects and Adhoc Analysis
Lead assigned FIT-related special projects, such as Flash Loss reduction. Participate in other assigned projects, providing financial expertise and support. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and initiatives. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve metrics and KPIs required by business users. Create and maintain required documentation for all assigned projects and analytics. Align with the Airgas Data teams on data sources, metrics, and reports needed for analytical projects.
Performance Management & Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations within the FIT program framework. Develop, document, and implement process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process changes and make adjustments as needed. Contribute to ensuring overall data quality for industrial performance monitoring (KPIs, benchmarks) to establish the PMS as the "one source of truth". Ensure the availability of required KPIs and ensure compute methodology aligns with Group definitions. Deploy KPIs to the operational organization by providing access to monitoring means and documentation. Pull methodologies, best practices, and benchmarks from the Group Industrial Direction and share them with relevant stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring
Monitor and report on KPIs on a monthly or quarterly basis as required. Identify performance deviations and inform relevant operations directions. Propose action plans and provide ad hoc analysis in coordination with operations directions and the industrial process performance team. Contribute to PMS rituals by providing KPI evolution analysis in coordination with Operations and Finance. Ensure the systematic capture and documentation of key lessons learned from industrial performance reviews. Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Operations Control to ensure the monthly Cluster flash report includes required industrial KPIs and follow-up efficiencies. Required qualifications: Successful candidates must bridge the gap between technical analytical rigor and strategic operational leadership:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering and post-graduate Business education, such as an MBA, preferred. Specialized knowledge: Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; Power BI experience is a plus. Skills: Own the outcome, Lead Up & Down, Drive Execution, ability to Navigate in Ambiguity, Resilient, Solution Oriented Focus, and Continuous Improvement mindset. Professional Certification: Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt, APIC's, Accounting preferred. 5 years of related experience
