Job Overview:

Join our dedicated behavioral health team at Trinitas Regional Medical Center as a Licensed Social Worker in our Mental Health Adult Outpatient department. In this impactful role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals navigating anxiety, panic, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, and other complex mental health challenges. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary clinical team to conduct evaluations, perform age-specific assessments, and design individualized psychotherapy treatment plans that support long-term healing.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university.
  • Active Social Worker License in the state of New Jersey (LSW or LCSW).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of human growth and development over the full lifespan, with the ability to render specialized, age-specific care from pediatric to geriatric populations.
  • Proven ability to interpret patient data, assess age-specific safety issues, and identify clinical criteria for victims of abuse or neglect.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills using age-appropriate approaches.

Preferred:

  • One (1) year of prior clinical experience in a behavioral or mental health outpatient setting.
  • Experience facilitating a variety of psychotherapy groups and utilizing standardized assessment instruments.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record-keeping and collaborating with external community agencies.

Scheduling Requirements

  • Status: Full-Time (FT) Day

Essential Functions:

  • Clinical Assessments: Assesses diverse patient needs dynamically through comprehensive clinical interviews, thorough chart/history reviews, and the utilization of standardized clinical instruments.
  • Treatment Planning: Designs, implements, and facilitates individualized psychotherapy treatment plans, including individual, group, and family sessions tailored to the patient's personal goals.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Serves as an active member of the multidisciplinary care team, assisting in reviewing and updating comprehensive treatment and discharge plans during clinical planning conferences.
  • Patient & Family Communication: Interprets the nature of illnesses and prescribed courses of treatment clearly for patients and their families, ensuring open channels of communication and addressing family issues with the staff.
  • Clinical Documentation: Evaluates, tracks, and documents patient clinical outcomes while maintaining up-to-date, highly confidential electronic medical records in strict accordance with department standards.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborates fluidly with alternative internal hospital programs and external community agencies with which patients and families are actively involved.
  • Legal Compliance: Obtains appropriate, legal releases of information and maintains total confidentiality safeguards across all medical and clinical care workflows.
