Direct Hire, Hybrid Schedule
Salary: 85-90,000/yr + Bonus


Job Summary

The Financial Systems Manager will lead the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the organization's financial systems and reporting platforms. This role serves as the primary liaison between Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure financial applications support accurate reporting, efficient processes, and scalable business operations. The Financial Systems Manager will oversee system configurations, lead technology initiatives, support financial planning and accounting functions, and drive automation and process improvements across the finance organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, train, and develop Financial Systems Analysts and/or Finance Systems Administrators.
  • Ensure the Financial Systems team is appropriately staffed to support business objectives and operational needs.
  • Oversee the daily administration, maintenance, and performance of financial systems and related applications.
  • Manage project priorities, workload, and performance of the Financial Systems team while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator for ERP, EPM, and financial reporting systems, ensuring optimal system performance, availability, and data integrity.
  • Lead financial systems implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancement projects from planning through deployment.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, IT, and operational teams to identify system improvements that increase efficiency and support business growth.
  • Manage financial system configurations, user security, workflows, master data, chart of accounts, organizational hierarchies, and system governance.
  • Develop and maintain automated financial reports, dashboards, and data models to support executive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
  • Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activities for upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, resolve data discrepancies, and collaborate with internal and external support teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for financial systems, business processes, controls, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes by ensuring financial systems operate accurately and efficiently.
  • Lead finance-related automation initiatives that reduce manual processes and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Provide end-user training and ongoing support to finance and accounting personnel.
  • Create ad hoc financial reports, system analyses, and dashboards as requested by leadership.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, budgeting, forecasting, and financial data management.
  • Experience supporting accounting and finance processes within enterprise financial systems.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting structures, chart of accounts, organizational hierarchies, and system governance.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across Finance, IT, and business operations.
  • High level of integrity when handling confidential financial and business information.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Experience with process automation, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms is preferred.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (CPA, CMA, PMP, or ERP certification) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting financial systems, ERP administration, finance technology, FP&A systems, or accounting systems.
  • 2+ years of leadership or project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday, or similar enterprise financial systems.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, or OneStream is preferred.
