USA TODAY Co. is seeking a dynamic
Partnerships & Marketing Associate to help grow awareness, revenue, and audience engagement across our in-house book publishing program and USA TODAY Store. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and partnerships-supporting the promotion and monetization of books developed by our editorial teams, as well as expanding the reach of our consumer products and merchandise. This role reports to the Director of Commerce Content Operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced media environment, enjoys developing multi-channel marketing strategies, and is motivated by driving both product sales and advertising revenue.
What You'll Do:
- Support the promotion and sales of USA TODAY's in-house book portfolio through integrated marketing campaigns
- Develop and execute marketing strategies across social media, email, events, and partner channels
- Coordinate with bookstores, distributors, and retail partners to expand book placement and visibility
- Plan and support event-based marketing opportunities, including launches, signings, and brand activations
- Identify and secure advertising and sponsorship placements within print book products
- Collaborate with editorial and design teams to align sales and marketing efforts with product development
- Build and maintain relationships with advertisers, partners, and vendors
- Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans for the USA TODAY Store, including front page prints, merchandise, and event-driven product drops
- Track campaign performance and sales impact, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
- Stay informed on industry trends in publishing, retail, and media marketing to identify new growth opportunities
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in marketing, sales, publishing, retail, or a related field
- Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns (social, email, events, partnerships)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Comfortable using AI tools to support marketing execution, including content optimization, campaign ideation, and performance optimization
- Experience or interest in media, publishing, or e-commerce environments
- Ability to think creatively while driving toward revenue and performance goals
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with advertising sales, sponsorships, or partner marketing is a plus

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $45,000 and $92,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
