Breast Medical Oncologist - Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Institute Washington DC

The Division of Hematology/Oncology at MedStar Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, D.C, is growing rapidly and seeking a Breast Medical Oncologist to join its expanding faculty at Georgetown University Hospital. This position provides the ability to work with an outstanding group of nationally recognized experts in myeloma, lymphoma, leukemia and Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplantation/Cellular Therapy, in the only NCI designated cancer center in Washington DC. Excellent research and academic opportunities are offered with the ability to collaborate with its NCI consortium partner, Hackensack Meridian Health John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC). Together with JTCC, the position provides access to a very large patient population and an ideal platform for clinical and translational research in the field.

Responsibilities include overseeing the care of patients with breast cancer, fostering and directing new clinical trials that bring Lombardi science to clinical applications for breast cancer, mentoring junior faculty, as well as medical student and house staff education in an ACGME- accredited fellowship program with an appointment at the Associate Professor level.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Graduated from an accredited residency program.
• MD Licensure
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical excellence and professional development.
