Astrion has an exciting opportunity fora Equipment Specialist, Armament - Senior located at Warner Robins AFB, GA.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Must have an active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
• 8 years RE on supported weapon system
• Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing.
• Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and process related to their area of expertise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Experience with small caliber munitions and maintenance documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct technical support for missiles, bomb racks, aircraft/SOF guns systems, small arms, launchers, associated support equipment and containers.
• Assist munitions/weapons field-level personnel in all matters of repair, sustainment, and deficiency resolution issues and provide immediate responses to interface activation issues.
• Application and support of configuration management, including supporting Configuration Control Board processes for respective programs;
• Management of and assistance with deficiency reporting, investigation, and resolution;
• Support of modification management for respective weapon systems;
• Documentation of maintenance data;
• Support equipment recommendation data;
• Establishment of new items and cataloguing;
• Support development, revision and test of demilitarization procedures to ensure critical technologies are protected;
• Class V munitions management;
• Software management; and Support mishap investigations.
