Ziegler Companies is seeking a Brand and Communications Director to lead enterprise brand strategy, corporate communications and creative development to ensure consistent, high-quality brand experience across all Ziegler divisions, channels and customer touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise brand strategy, including positioning, messaging architecture, voice, visual identity and brand governance across all divisions, channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Establish brand standards, operating models and decision rights that ensure consistency while enabling business units to execute effectively within a unified enterprise framework.
  • Lead corporate communications strategy, including executive messaging, public relations, thought leadership, reputation management and key internal communications in support of company priorities.
  • Build and scale internal creative and content capabilities to reduce reliance on external agencies, improve speed to market and increase the quality and consistency of brand expression.
  • Own annual brand planning and long-range planning inputs, aligning brand investments, communications priorities and content initiatives to enterprise growth objectives.
  • Translate customer, market and competitive insights into brand strategies, narratives and content priorities that strengthen awareness, preference and market relevance.
  • Oversee enterprise social media, events, sponsorships and community-facing communications to ensure they advance brand visibility, business priorities and stakeholder trust.
  • Partner closely with commercial, HR and executive leadership to ensure the brand supports recruiting, customer experience, sales enablement and long-term enterprise value creation.
  • Serve as the senior steward of the company's reputation, ensuring brand and communications efforts are proactive, measurable and aligned to the company's operating model and growth ambitions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism or related field; MBA or master's degree in Marketing or Business preferred. Equivalent combination of education and progressive brand/communications leadership will be considered
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in brand strategy, corporate communications, creative leadership or related marketing disciplines, preferably in B2B, industrial, equipment, manufacturing or other complex multi-location environments.
  • Demonstrated success building and governing enterprise brand systems, including positioning, messaging, visual identity and brand standards across multiple business lines or customer segments.
  • Strong understanding of how brand, communications and content strategy contribute to commercial growth, customer preference, talent attraction and enterprise reputation.
  • Experience building or transforming internal marketing capabilities, witha track recordof reducing reliance on agencies while improving quality, speed and cost effectiveness.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional stakeholders and translate strategy into action.
  • Experience using customer,marketand competitive insights to shape brand strategy, communications priorities and enterprise planning decisions.
  • Strong people leadership capability, including coaching creative and communications talent, establishing clear standards and building a high-performing team culture.

  • Up to 20%

The pay range for this position is

$146,000.00 to $182,500.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
