This position can be domiciled at any FedEx Freight location within the continental US. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lead the enterprise technology strategy, delivery, and operational performance for platforms supporting Human Resources, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Security, and Corporate Functions across FedEx Freight. Serves as a senior technology leader responsible for modernizing workforce and corporate systems, improving the employee and manager experience, strengthening data governance, and ensuring continuity of critical business services.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate a high-performing team of technology leaders, product owners, analysts, engineers, and delivery professionals
  • Define and own the multi-year roadmap for enterprise platforms supporting HR, payroll, timekeeping, recruiting, benefits, legal, risk, compliance, security, and corporate functions.
  • Establish portfolio governance, demand management, and prioritization practices that align technology investments to business value, risk reduction, regulatory needs, and operational impact.
  • Lead the design, implementation, modernization, integration, and ongoing operation of secure, reliable, and scalable workforce and corporate technology platforms.
  • Ensure continuity, performance, and resilience of critical services, including payroll, timekeeping, workforce management, legal operations, risk, compliance, and security applications.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Security, Finance, Operations, and corporate leadership to translate business needs into clear technology strategies, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Own data governance, data quality, access controls, integrations, reporting enablement, and lifecycle management for sensitive employee, payroll, legal, and corporate data.
  • Drive employee- and manager-facing solutions that improve recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, development, retention, self-service, and case resolution experiences.
  • Ensuring systems and processes comply with applicable legal, regulatory, privacy, audit, retention, and information security requirements.
  • Oversee vendor strategy, platform performance, contract accountability, service levels, and delivery outcomes for HCM, payroll, legal, risk, compliance, and corporate technology providers.
  • Champion automation, process simplification, modern SaaS capabilities, and AI-enabled productivity improvements where they improve accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
  • Lead change management, adoption, communication, and training partnerships to ensure new capabilities are understood, used, and sustained by business teams and employees.
  • Provide executive-level communication on strategy, roadmap progress, system performance, risks, investment needs, delivery outcomes, and business value.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience leading enterprise application strategy, delivery, modernization, or operations, including five (5+) years in a senior leadership role managing cross-functional teams, enterprise platforms, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise HR, payroll, timekeeping, legal, risk, compliance, security, and corporate technology platforms.
  • Experience with major enterprise platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG/Kronos, ServiceNow, legal matter management, e-billing, contract lifecycle management, GRC, or compliance platforms preferred.
  • Strong understanding of workforce systems, employee data, payroll operations, legal and compliance workflows, privacy obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to define strategy, govern portfolios, prioritize demand, manage investment tradeoffs, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation, separation, TSA Exit, platform modernization, or enterprise systems integration efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, reporting enablement, access controls, integrations, and secure handling of sensitive enterprise data.
  • Ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams while setting clear priorities, accountability, and execution discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership, align cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate complex technology topics in clear business terms.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, service levels, budgets, and external delivery partners.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to anticipate evolving workforce needs, operational requirements, and emerging technology trends to guide enterprise strategy.
  • Excellent communication, executive presentation, change leadership, and adoption management skills.

The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location(s). Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Pay Range: $143,100.00 - $286,200.00 per year

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
