Supplier Relationship Manager I or II

LEVEL I

  • Estimated annual base pay: $72,000.00 (minimum) - $104,250.00 (midpoint) - $115,000.00 (maximum)

LEVEL II

  • Estimated annual base pay: $85,000.00 (minimum) - $110,000.00 (midpoint) - $136,000.00 (maximum)

LEVEL I

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against contractual agreements and key performance indicators to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to foster mutual understanding and continuous improvement.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, address, and resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze supplier performance data, and prepare regular reports to inform management and support decision making processes.
  • Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to foster mutual understanding and continuous improvement.

Key Skills:

  • Communication & Influence: Shares information or updates with others when asked. Identifies those who should be persuaded to support a desired course of action. Further development required.
  • Negotiation: Learns negotiation tactics and identifies successful negotiation examples. Further development required.
  • Analytical Thinking: Explores and synthesizes different sources of information for stakeholders. Further development required.

LEVEL II

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against agreed upon metrics to ensure quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Relationship Development: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to enhance cooperation and drive mutual business growth.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise with suppliers to maintain smooth operational workflows.
  • Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Communication Skills: Internal communication and presentations up to and including executive level reviews pertaining to supplier relationship strategy, performance and issue resolution.

Key Skills:

  • Communication & Influence: Proactively synthesizes and shares information with stakeholders. Persuades others with logical, data-driven arguments.
  • Negotiation: Uses some negotiation tactics; able to assist in negotiations. Understands appropriate targets and outcomes for negotiation; uses information to tailor approach. Uses leverage besides cost savings in negotiations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Understands different sources of information and can distill information to share with stakeholders in a digestible way. Able to root cause information that is verifiable and correct.
  • Project Management: Leads a project from initiation to close. Manages team members and deadlines.
  • Performance Management: Monitors supplier performance and continues to build relationships with suppliers. Benchmarks suppliers.
  • Problem Solving: Finds appropriate solutions to problems or knows who to reach out to for help. Able to root cause for problem identification.
  • Executive Presence: Communicates and presents effectively; manages relevant stakeholders across levels of seniority.
  • Data Analysis: Able to analyze relevant data and choose the appropriate visualization. Selects appropriate data to support business cases or insights.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Monitors risk appropriately, shares some risk mitigation strategies with colleagues.
  • Value Orientation: Builds end-to-end value thinking. Manages projects and goals with little assistance. Establishes performance standards and measurements for work. Delivers on value proposition.

Successfully candidates typically have:

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain
