What You'll Do:
  • Serve as the primary administrative support for the HR department, managing filing systems, HR databases, and employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Process and maintain new hire paperwork, onboarding documentation, benefits enrollment forms, and employment verification requests
  • Coordinate and schedule HR-related meetings, training sessions, interviews, and employee events
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and payroll, escalating complex matters to the appropriate HR team member
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process, including preparing materials, conducting orientation logistics, and ensuring all required documentation is completed
  • Assist with the administration of leave of absence requests, accommodations, and FMLA tracking
  • Maintain and update the HRIS system with employee data changes, new hires, terminations, and status changes
  • Prepare HR reports, org charts, and presentations for leadership as requested
  • Support compliance efforts by tracking required training completions, license renewals, and policy acknowledgments
  • Assist with recruiting coordination including posting positions, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates as needed
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR support, administrative, or coordinator role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HRIS platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience supporting HR functions within a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with HR compliance requirements including I-9 verification, FMLA, and EEO reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Comfort managing priorities within a part-time, flexible schedule without sacrificing quality or responsiveness
