We are seeking a Lead Bartender to join the team at Waterfront Bar & Grill, one of the resort's most popular dining and entertainment venues.

About Waterfront Bar & Grill

Waterfront Bar & Grill welcomes guests arriving by boat, car, or private jet for lakeside dining, handcrafted cocktails, and live music. Featuring both indoor and outdoor waterfront seating, the restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere paired with chef-inspired fresh seafood and from-scratch cuisine inspired by Southern and Mexican flavors.

From elevated seafood dishes and barbacoa flautas to tenderloin chops and classic smash burgers, Waterfront Bar & Grill delivers memorable dining experiences for resort guests, members, and visitors alike.

Restaurant Hours



  • Monday-Thursday: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Friday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
  • Saturday-Sunday:


    • Brunch: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
    • Dinner: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM



Position Summary

As the Lead Bartender, you will be responsible for creating exceptional beverages while serving as a key leader within the bar operation. You will support daily service, guide team members, maintain operational excellence, and ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality.

In the absence of management, you will oversee shift operations, make staffing adjustments as needed, and help ensure smooth execution from opening through close.

Key Responsibilities

Craft Exceptional Beverages



  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all TABC regulations
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and specialty cocktails


Lead the Team



  • Direct and support bartenders and bar staff throughout each shift
  • Delegate responsibilities and help manage staffing needs when necessary
  • Serve as a resource for associates and assist in resolving operational challenges


Deliver Outstanding Guest Experiences



  • Provide attentive, professional, and personalized service
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
  • Recommend menu items and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience


Maintain Operational Excellence



  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain proper stock
  • Complete liquor requisitions and uphold established par levels
  • Ensure the bar remains organized, clean, and presentation-ready


Train and Develop Associates



  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members
  • Reinforce service standards and operational procedures
  • Foster teamwork and support a culture of continuous improvement


Ensure Safety and Sanitation



  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Support compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements


Qualifications

Experience



  • Previous bartending experience required
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Resort, hospitality, restaurant, or high-volume upscale bar experience preferred


Certifications



  • Valid TABC Certificate required
  • Valid Food Handler's Certificate required


Skills



  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Excellent guest service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits


Requirements



  • Must be at least 18 years of age; 21+ preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift supplies as needed
  • Must maintain professional appearance and uniform standards, including slip-resistant footwear
