Regional Regulation Study Lead

Within the PRS PPM Program Management organization is created the new Global Regulation & Transversal Studies (GRTS) Team, that operating through regional members, is the point of contact between the Propulsion System, PPPL, and Regulatory teams. The team is responsible for ensuring the readiness of the PRS in the face of new regulatory or cross-cutting initiatives and conducting the related study within the PRS, working with PPPL until the CM is approved.

Key Functional Responsibilities

Management & reporting:



  • Drive inside PRS the evaluation of New Regulations or other Transversal studies, working with Functional technical leads and with PPPL till CM approval.
  • Ensure that all new regulation/Bulletins are captured, analyzed with Metafunctions and approved in time.
  • Coordinate discussions between the relevant stakeholders at PRS Transversal Table and ensure consistency.
  • Keep synchronization between PRS Transversal table & Systems table of the different Platforms involved.
  • Lead Governance discussions, reporting activities in milestone preparation and support escalation documents.
  • Main contact between the Propulsion System team and PPPL for the Transversal Studies


Costs



  • Interface with SSTM/SFMS for collecting costs by all PRS Platforms involved and ensure consistency.
  • Guarantee costs level details requested by PPPL & VEMO
  • Support SSTM/SFMS for cost convergence with VEMO at the various Governance Steps


Timing



  • Support SSTM/SFMS and System Chief of all PRS Platforms involved to collect development timing and ensure consistency.
  • Support PPPL team in understand PRS impact due to Regulation on STLA launch cadence.


Basic Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in above disciplines.
  • Good analytical skills and interdisciplinary mindset to enable problem solving in a complex environment.
  • Passion for propulsion systems, open and curious mindset and eagerness to learn about and deep-dive into the topic are required.
  • Strong project management and planning skills, ability to lead cross-functional work groups, meetings and task forces - strong pro-active communication & mentality.
