What You'll Do

As Resident Project Representative I, you'll serve as the engineer's on-site agent-inspecting work, documenting progress, and coordinating testing to help contractors deliver civil infrastructure projects in compliance with contract documents, safety, and quality standards.



  • Study and understand project contract documents for assigned discipline(s).
  • Oversee inspections and testing required by the contract documents.
  • Communicate inspection results to contractors, suppliers, construction administrators, and client representatives.
  • Monitor contractor activities to promote compliance with contract requirements.
  • Use accepted procedures and reporting documents with Construction Administrators and technical staff.
  • Assist Project Managers and Construction Administrators on assigned projects.



Who We're Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:



  • Four years of experience in construction procedures OR
  • A strong understanding of relevant engineering design AND some experience with construction procedures
  • A technical background in construction and/or design


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of utility construction practices (water/sewer lines, pump stations, subsurface structures) relevant to water/wastewater.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and state/local construction guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, clear writing and speech clarity; detail orientation and sound judgment/decision-making.
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, coordinate inspections/testing, and liaise with contractors and client representatives.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work safely on active construction sites.
