For more information, visit our website at www.kearfott.com Position Description: The Quality Systems Specialist I supports the Quality Management System (QMS), Quality data systems, and ERP master data to ensure compliance, accurate reporting, and efficient business operations. This role is responsible for maintaining quality system documentation, supporting ERP quality transactions, quality performance metrics and dashboards, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams to improve business processes. Essential Functions: Reporting & Business Analytics * Develop, maintain, and improve Quality metrics and KPI reporting. * Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel to automate reporting through formulas, Power Query, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, dashboards, and data validation. * Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards supporting Quality Engineering, Inspection, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Leadership. * Drive the organization toward real-time and daily reporting by improving automated data collection and visualization. * Verify data accuracy and investigate discrepancies before publication. * Identify opportunities to eliminate manual reporting through automation. ERP & Business Systems Support * Support Quality-related ERP (IFS) master data activities. * Create and maintain supplier records. * Create and maintain purchase part information supporting Quality requirements. * Support Quality transaction accuracy within ERP. * Support scrap transactions and ensure accurate disposition reporting. Continuous Improvement * Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and process improvement activities. * Recommend opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and business processes. * Assist in implementation of digital Quality initiatives. Critical Competencies: * Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Advanced Excel knowledge (i.e., Pivot tables) * Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred * Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment * High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy * Continuous improvement mindset Required Experience & Education: * Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred * Proven knowledge and experience documenting procedures * Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS 9100; FAA and DOD requirements strongly preferred * Must be a US Citizen Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans | |
