Bring your expertise in sleep medicine to our team in Santa Rosa as a Polysomnographer with Providence. This part-time, night-shift opportunity offers a consistent schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, giving you the opportunity to provide specialized, one-on-one patient care while maintaining flexibility outside of work. You'll work independently performing comprehensive sleep studies while being part of a collaborative team committed to high-quality, patient-centered care. Under the supervision of the Manager, this position works independently and conducts polysomnographic testing. The PSGT safely operates sophisticated medical equipment used to record sleep/wake physiology, explains procedures, prepares patients and applies recording devices. Key responsibilities include monitoring polygraph recordings and audio/visual equipment to ensure patient safety, test quality, sleep/wake data and other physiological events.

Required Qualifications:



  • Upon hire: California Polysom Technologist License
  • Upon hire: National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, or
  • Upon hire: National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year of experience as a polysomnographic technologist; 2 years preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in Polysomnography.
  • Upon hire: Membership in Association of Polysomnographic Technologist (APT) or American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM)
