What to Expect
The Process Technician is critical in ensuring manufacturing lines produce high-quality products efficiently.Collaboration with process and equipment engineering teams is essential to improve reliability, minimize downtime, and enhance vehicle quality through audits and corrective actions.
What You'll Do
- Load all materials and chemicals while managing deliveries to support production needs
- Monitor material usage, ensure sufficient on-site inventory, and escalate issues to process engineers or suppliers as required
- Collect and analyze data for materials and equipment, including viscosity, temperature, film build, pressures, pH, and conductivity
- Escalate material characteristics that fall outside specified parameters for timely resolution
- Calculate and add chemicals or solvents to optimize material conditions
- Closely observe equipment performance to reduce fault recovery time and maintain operational efficiency
- Engage with the maintenance team during troubleshooting to address line-down situations
What You'll Bring
- Two or more years of experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Associate Degree in Science, or equivalent experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for understanding, recording, and creating procedures or shift pass-downs
- Ability to read and interpret instructions accurately
- Sufficient computer skills with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Ignition
- Solid math skills and the capacity to read and use measuring equipment
- Flexibility to work off-shifts and weekends as needed
