Job Summary The University of Colorado Boulder is searching for a Computer Science Online Graduate Program Specialist! This role serves as the advisor for online graduate students, currently Masters students using the Coursera platform, within the College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU Boulder (the MS-CS and MS-AI degrees). This position is responsible for proactive outreach and communication to prospective and current students. The position informs and advises students on degree requirements and tracks their progress towards fulfilling them; advises students about the nature and content of the program's curricula; helps prepare students to be successful in their degree program and take advantage of professional development, and community-building opportunities. The Computer Science Department is committed to developing collaborative, student-centered relationships between Graduate Program Specialists and graduate students that support achievement of academic success, and promote personal and professional development of students. The role supports students through a developmental, student-focused approach. This position developes and implements advising strategies and interventions to enhance the performance and persistence of students, supporting the graduate education mission of the Computer Science online program in a scalable way. What You Should Know This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday - Friday during regular business hours, with some variability in the work hours due to the supported programs being fully online. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work modality, consistent with the College of Engineering and Applied Science Hybrid Work Policy. What We Can Offer The salary for this role is $58,000 - $62,000 annually.
