Solutions Architect New York, NY Pay: $85.00 - $91.00 per hour 26-08256 Job Summary The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solutions that power customer engagement and lifecycle marketing initiatives. This highly technical, hands-on role combines solution architecture, CRM platform development, systems integration, and technical project coordination to deliver reliable, data-driven marketing automation solutions. The role partners closely with CRM, Product, Data Engineering, Marketing, and Creative teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring platform stability, scalability, and best practices. Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions.
- Monitor the operational health of marketing campaigns, automations, customer journeys, and data integrations, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Architect and deploy automated customer journeys, triggered communications, and personalized marketing experiences using AMPScript, SQL, and SSJS when applicable.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that support CRM and digital marketing initiatives.
- Design and maintain scalable customer data models, audience segmentation, and data architecture within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with external platforms, APIs, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), mobile applications, and enterprise data systems.
- Serve as the technical lead for CRM platform enhancements, integrations, and marketing automation initiatives.
- Coordinate multiple technical projects simultaneously while managing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT teams to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and successful platform integrations.
- Develop technical standards, documentation, quality assurance processes, and development best practices for Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Evaluate new Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities and recommend platform improvements to enhance marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and support to CRM marketers, analysts, and business stakeholders regarding platform capabilities and technical solutions.
- Partner with leadership on CRM platform strategy, roadmap planning, and future marketing technology initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Solution Architect, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect, or in a comparable senior technical CRM role.
- Expert-level hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions.
- Strong proficiency with AMPScript and SQL; experience with Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) preferred.
- Experience developing and supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud API integrations and connections with external systems.
- Strong understanding of customer data modeling, audience segmentation, and CRM architecture.
- Proven experience managing multiple technical projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Braze or other enterprise email service providers (ESPs) preferred.
- Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) such as Hightouch, mParticle, or Tealium preferred.
- Knowledge of email marketing compliance and privacy regulations, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and CCPA preferred.
- Experience supporting streaming, subscription-based, direct-to-consumer (D2C), e-commerce, or digital media organizations preferred.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or Marketing Cloud Consultant certification strongly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Marketing Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
