Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager assists leaders in the Strategy Department, including the Strategic Project_Management Office and the Strategy/Population Health teams in the development and execution of projects. The Assistant Project Manager assists with the development of project plans to support organizational strategies and major projects. This will include setting a project timeline, coordinating meeting logistics, establishing action plans and maintaining communication among all departments involved in the project.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • One (1) to Four (4) years of experience in healthcare setting or as a program coordinator

  • Interfaces with Grady departments, external agencies, general public, and representatives of consultant groups in coordinating schedules and logistics.

  • Implements daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner.

  • Facilitates communication among departments involved in a specific project.

  • Tracks and directly reports project status updates to project leader.

  • Assists in the development of and adherence to project timelines and calendars.

  • Problem solves issues and suggests ways to improve the project/program.

  • Participates in and where appropriate leads project scoping and planning.

  • Records all pertinent information during planning and project management meetings and ensures all team members receive information to maintain project progress.

  • Assists departmental leaders in execution of the management plan for assigned projects.

  • Ensures projects and organizational initiatives maintain a stated timeline and communicates risks to leaders.

  • Coordinates and manages projects from inception to completion.

  • Maintains all current project documents.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to anticipate needs.

  • Work with little direction.
