Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist


  • Schedule: This is a full-time, 40 hour/week schedule. Applicants must have availability Monday through Friday and must work rotating Saturday shifts (generally 1 - 2 Saturdays per month). Saturday hours are 9am to 1pm.
  • Hybrid Arrangement: In office 100% for first 90 days, then hybrid work available with 2 - 3 days per week in office.

We're looking for an experienced Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist to join our Loan Administration team and serve as a trusted expert in consumer loan servicing, lease administration, collateral management, and DMV title processing.

What You'll Do

As a Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting our consumer, indirect, lease, and home equity portfolios by:


  • Serving as the department's subject-matter expert for complex loan servicing and title administration matters.
  • Processing loan modifications, deferments, payoff demands, lien releases, reconveyances, and collateral maintenance.
  • Managing end-of-term lease activities, including lease buyouts, purchase options, assumptions, and maturity servicing.
  • Administering GAP, MBI, Credit Life, and other protection products, including claims and reconciliations.
  • Processing DMV title transactions, ownership transfers, lien recordings, releases, and title corrections.
  • Partnering with members, dealerships, vendors, and internal teams to resolve servicing and collateral issues.
  • Investigating escalated concerns, identifying process improvements, and recommending solutions that balance member experience and regulatory compliance.
  • Providing guidance, mentoring, and training to other team members.


What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:


  • Three to five years of consumer lending or loan-servicing experience.
  • Experience with indirect lending, collateral administration, or DMV title processing.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer lending regulations, loan products, and servicing operations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills (preferred).

Compensation

In accordance with California's Pay Transparency Act, the expected hourly pay range for this role at Rize Federal Credit Union is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour.

Actual compensation is determined by experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

As part of the hiring process, candidates who receive a contingent offer will undergo a background investigation, which may include employment verification, credit review, criminal records search, Social Security verification, and government registry checks. Candidates must also meet eligibility requirements to be bonded under a fidelity bond.
