INVISTA is seeking an Information Management Leader to advance our document control and information management capability. In this role, you will lead an experienced team responsible for technical documentation, information workflows, data quality, and governance across projects, asset management, operations, maintenance, and site teams.

This leader will help the organization move beyond traditional document control toward a broader information management model, improving how work is requested, prioritized, governed, measured, and continuously improved.

Our Team

The Information Management Leader will provide day-to-day leadership for a team of experienced information management specialists while partnering with internal stakeholders and third-party support providers to improve service levels, system adoption, and information quality. The team members are located at multiple INVISTA sites and are consolidating work through a central request board and is building more consistent processes for intake, prioritization, routing, execution, and performance measurement.


We anticipate this leader to be officed in The Woodlands, TX. This role follows a hybrid work model where site policy allows and requires periodic travel up to 25% to support team members and stakeholders across multiple locations.


What You Will Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Information Management Specialists responsible for document control, technical documentation, and information management support.
  • Provide governance for a central request board, helping the team screen incoming work, prioritize requests, determine appropriate routing, and manage work-in-progress.
  • Standardize information management and document control processes across sites, including procedures, templates, metadata standards, naming conventions, revision control, approvals, and retention practices.
  • Partner with project teams, asset management, MOC leaders, engineering, operations, maintenance, and site stakeholders to improve document flow, information quality, and work process effectiveness.
  • Support the Meridian 2025 upgrade by contributing to governance, stakeholder alignment, training readiness, system adoption, reporting, and long-term sustainability.
  • Develop and refine key performance indicators, including request volume, request type, cycle time, backlog, revision accuracy, audit findings, compliance measures, and user experience indicators.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual work, improve data integrity, increase transparency, and help the organization make better use of enterprise document management systems.
  • Travel as needed up to 25% to support team development, training, implementation activities, and relationship building.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • 3+ years of experience in document control, records management, information management, engineering documentation, project controls, project management, or related technical documentation environments.
  • Experience leading people, coordinating work, or driving results through others in a technical, operational, project, or document management environment.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise document management systems and related workflows.
  • Experience developing or improving procedures, standards, SOPs, training materials, user documentation, or work process guidance.
  • Experience driving projects forward by aligning, influencing, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 25%.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Library Science, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in information management, document control, engineering documentation, project controls, or related fields.
  • Experience supervising, leading, or directly developing people in a technical, engineering, project, or operations environment.
  • Experience implementing or upgrading enterprise document management systems in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or capital project environments.
  • Experience working in Meridian / BlueCielo and familiar with Bluebeam Revu, ShareFile, etc.
