Summary/Objective:

The position of Parts Handler works to pull all material needed to run a full day's production based off the production schedule set by manufacturing leaders. Parts Handlers pull specific material and quantities to specific production pools and production orders.

Essential Functions:

  • Picks and scans all material to fulfill a day's production or runs hot parts for material shortages on the production line.
  • Maintenance of raw material inventory (parts, supplies, etc.)
  • Movement of completed parts into and through production and shipping if needed.
  • Assistance in loading and preparation product for build
  • Loading and unloading of trucks if needed.
  • Properly identify and locate all parts according to established procedures.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department leader.
  • Maintains the work areas and equipment, clean and orderly condition, and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform all other responsibilities as may be assigned by management.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, factory environment.
  • May stand for several hours at a time.
  • Occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to physically and mentally maintain daily production goals and deadlines as established by management.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities upon hiring.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Thie is a full-time hourly position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel is not required for this position.

  • Manufacturing/industry experience
