Essential Functions Pay Range: $69,500.00 - $83,200.00 per year
- Set up poultry houses with fans, catching tarps, and migration tubes to support live haul operations.
- Monitor trailer ventilation and cooling systems to ensure bird welfare standards are maintained.
- Ensure all employees receive required safety and animal handling training and maintain training documentation.
- Verify proper bird catching and loading techniques are consistently followed.
- Coordinate and adhere to bird pickup schedules for assigned trailers.
- Monitor loading operations to ensure the correct number of birds are loaded per module.
- Enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all team members.
- Ensure employees receive scheduled water, rest, and meal breaks in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a clearly identified and safe loading zone.
- Verify trailer tags are accurate, legible, and completed correctly.
- Follow and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with Animal Welfare SOPs and humane handling practices.
- Promote a safe work environment and address potential safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Support company goals related to safety, animal welfare, quality, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Have a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of poultry transportation preferred but not required.
- Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work in extreme cold/hot, dusty environment.
- Must have ability to acquire a class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Must have and maintain an acceptable DMV driving record.
- Ability to follow and enforce all company rules, policies and procedures.
- Ability to work various shifts including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to meet production standards and deadlines.
