| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |

| Position Summary |
The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Engagement serves as the initial point of contact for prospective applicants/students who call, email, or visit the School of Law. They are responsible for counseling prospective students; implementing and running in-person visit programs; coordinating and managing two admitted student days; reviewing application files and making admission recommendations; coordinating registration and shipping materials for recruitment events; traveling nationally for recruitment events; serving as secondary database (UNITE and SLATE) processor and manager; and directing the Carolina Law Ambassadors program. The Assistant Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Admissions and works closely with them on the overall efforts to recruit, admit, and enroll students to the School of Law who help us pursue and meet our mission. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Master's or Bachelor's and 0-2 years' experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. The position requires the ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as to work within a team when necessary; the maturity, confidence, and discretion in handling confidential materials and information as well as in interacting with prospective students, current law students, faculty, staff, alumni, and high-profile guests of the School of Law; the ability to manage work processes and shift priorities to meet the needs of the office on a day-to-day basis; the ability to make decisions on the fly according to policy and procedural guidelines; the ability to coordinate operations and manage work performance of staff in the absence of the manager; the ability to give good client/customer service; and the ability to run reports and analyze data to ensure the proper maintenance of information/records and programming events. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience in law school admissions. Experience using Aces2, Unite, or other comparable enrollment management databases. |

Ability to lift/carry roughly 30lbs and travel frequently |
