HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician, you will help ensure the production of safe, high-quality food products by conducting inspections, testing, audits, and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance will support operational excellence and help deliver products that meet customer and company expectations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO...
Perform in-process quality inspections, measurements, and testing activities. Take product temperatures and weights and accurately document results. Verify dates, times, and coding on packaged products and maintain required records. Conduct pre-operational inspections in accordance with established procedures. Perform quality testing on ingredients and products within the QA laboratory. Audit trained production employees to verify compliance with monitoring procedures. Monitor and document the operation of X-ray and Metal Detector systems. Ensure HACCP, GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements are consistently followed. Verify production areas are maintained according to company, regulatory, and food safety standards. Monitor product handling, packaging, time controls, and temperature requirements. Audit incoming raw materials for freshness, quality, and specification compliance. Verify products meet recipe and formulation specifications. Compile reports, maintain records, and organize quality documentation. Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures. Support continuous improvement efforts and perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)
High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent verbal communication skills. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to use a calculator and complete quality-related measurements and calculations. Basic knowledge of food safety principles. Ability to follow GMPs, HACCP requirements, quality standards, and safety procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods and work throughout production environments. Ability to walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work flexible schedules and hours as needed. Ability to work in wet environments and areas with varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer locations. Ability to wear required hearing protection and other PPE.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)
Previous Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or food safety experience. Six months or more of food manufacturing or food-handling experience. Experience conducting inspections, audits, testing, or compliance activities. Familiarity with HACCP programs, GMPs, USDA regulations, or food manufacturing standards. Experience working with metal detectors, X-ray systems, or other quality monitoring equipment. Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish. Experience using laboratory testing equipment or maintaining quality records and reports.
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with exposure to hot, cold, refrigerated, and freezer conditions. Wet production areas where slip hazards may exist. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. Hearing protection is required in designated work areas. Fast-paced environment requiring close attention to food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

COMPENSATION
Pay: $17.55 + 50-cents shift differential p/hr Shift: 2nd Shift Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
