Precise Systems is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and systems engineering support to PMA-207, with a primary focus on airborne weather radar systems, avionics integration, modernization, and sustainment. The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for evaluating complex engineering issues, developing and managing system requirements, assessing system interfaces and integration impacts, and supporting the full lifecycle of weather radar capabilities. The candidate will work independently and provide technical leadership across Government, industry, OEM, and contractor organizations.

Duties:
- Serve as a Senior Systems Engineer and technical advisor supporting PMA-207 weather radar modernization, integration, and sustainment efforts.
- Lead systems engineering activities, including requirements development, decomposition, traceability, verification, and validation.
- Perform system-level analysis of airborne weather radar capabilities, including performance, interfaces, operational effectiveness, reliability, maintainability, obsolescence, and lifecycle considerations.
- Lead technical assessments and trade studies to evaluate modernization, replacement, integration, and sustainment alternatives.
- Analyze and document system interfaces between weather radar systems and aircraft avionics, displays, navigation systems, mission systems, and other platform subsystems.
- Develop and review system specifications, Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs), technical data packages, test plans, verification procedures, and other engineering artifacts.
- Provide technical leadership during engineering reviews, IPT meetings, Technical Exchange Meetings, and contractor engagements.
- Support the development, evaluation, and disposition of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Information, technical directives, and other engineering change documentation.
- Support hardware and software integration activities and assess impacts to aircraft architecture and existing technical baselines.
- Support developmental, integration, ground, flight, and operational test activities and analyze results to identify deficiencies and corrective actions.
- Identify and manage technical risks, issues, dependencies, and system-level impacts, providing recommendations for mitigation and resolution.
- Support airworthiness, certification, and aircraft modification activities associated with weather radar integration.
- Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals, engineering products, and technical deliverables.
- Support acquisition planning, market research, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), and other technical decision-support activities.
- Provide clear technical recommendations and brief complex engineering issues to Government and senior leadership.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide systems engineering leadership across the PMA-207 engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive systems engineering experience, including experience serving in a senior engineering or technical leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the development, integration, modernization, test, or sustainment of airborne weather radar systems.
- Extensive experience applying systems engineering principles across the system lifecycle.
- Experience with requirements development and management, interface analysis, technical baseline management, verification, and validation.
- Experience supporting military aircraft, avionics, or other complex aerospace systems.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex technical efforts with limited oversight.
- Experience coordinating technical activities across Government, OEM, prime contractor, and other stakeholder organizations.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, communication, and briefing skills.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting PMA-207 or other Naval Aviation program offices.
- Direct experience with military or commercial airborne weather radar systems.
- Experience with radar modes and capabilities, including weather detection, turbulence detection, ground mapping, and associated radar processing.
- Experience with aircraft avionics interfaces and architectures, including MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet, or other aircraft data bus architectures.
- Experience supporting aircraft airworthiness and certification activities.
- Experience with radar modernization, technology refresh, obsolescence management, and lifecycle sustainment.
- Experience with system architecture development and technical trade studies.
- Experience using systems engineering and requirements management tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or similar applications.
- Familiarity with DoD and Naval Aviation acquisition and engineering processes.
- INCOSE certification or equivalent systems engineering credentials.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $103,428.48 to $155,142.72 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
