General Summary:

The Sterile Processing Technician I inspects, cleans, assembles, and sterilizes surgical instrument sets. This role operates cleaning and sterilization equipment and prepares instruments, supplies, and equipment for steam and low-temperature sterilization.

Minimum Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or GED equivalent



  • Minimum of one year of instrument-processing experience



  • Active certification through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), formerly IAHCSMM




Salary Range: Minimum 24.82/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
