The Role:

The Odom Corporation is seeking a Delivery Driver - CDL Trainee to ensure accurate and timely work is being performed to best meet the needs of the customers and the departmental goals for the overall company goals.

This position is for the daily delivery and unloading of beverage products to customer locations, while providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate delivery documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

What You'll Do:

Delivery Operations



  • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and completes required reports.
  • Reads and efficiently works from routing manifests to deliver products to customers.
  • Safely and efficiently delivers product to customers per instructions on the manifest.
  • Uses trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transport and deliver products.
  • Operates a non-CDL box truck as needed during the CDL training period.
  • Maintains compliance with company safety procedures and delivery standards.


Customer Service & Route Management



  • Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions accurately.
  • Assists customers during deliveries as needed.
  • Documents customer receipts, omissions, delivery errors, and credits.
  • Obtains customer signatures for pickups and deliveries.
  • Listens to and addresses customer service concerns professionally.
  • Maintains positive customer relationships through quality service.


Inventory & Documentation



  • Accurately records invoices, payments, credits, and route information.
  • Maintains accurate route records and follows established check-in procedures.
  • Verifies payments and returned product upon route completion.
  • Places stock on shelves or racks when required during customer deliveries.
  • Collects empty containers, rejected products, and unsold merchandise.
  • Suggests and implements ways to improve service, quality, and company profitability.


What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications



  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Clean driving record with no SR22 insurance.
  • Valid medical card prior to start date.
  • CDL A permit must be obtained prior to the start date.
  • CDL A license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Driving abstract and auto insurance declaration are required prior to hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good customer relations skills.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Beverage delivery experience.
  • Previous delivery driver, transportation, or route sales experience.
