TITLE: Business Analyst III


POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Business Analyst, Sales Operations supports a medical device sales organization by delivering data-driven insights, maintaining reporting infrastructure, and enabling accurate compensation and performance management. This role manages large, complex datasets across multiple systems and translates them into actionable dashboards, KPI reporting, and analysis that drive commercial decision-making.


The role also provides reporting and analytics support across Sales Operations, Customer Service, Rebates, and Accounts Receivable, ensuring end-to-end visibility into commercial performance and financial outcomes.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.


  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales operations, business analysis, or related role.
  • Experience working with large datasets across multiple systems.
  • Strong proficiency in:

    • SQL (data extraction, transformation, and analysis)
    • Power BI (dashboard development and KPI reporting)
    • SaaS CRM systems (Salesforce, Veeva, or similar)
    • SAP Business Warehouse
    • Microsoft SharePoint, PowerAutomate and Teams


  • Experience supporting sales compensation and operational reporting processes.
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or regulated commercial environments.
  • Exposure to Customer Service, Rebates, or Accounts Receivable reporting and analytics.
  • Experience with enterprise KPI frameworks and commercial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with data governance and reporting automation best practices.
  • Experience with AS400 query language (e.g., DB2/IBM i SQL) is a plus.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Data & Analytics



  • Manage and analyze large datasets from CRM, ERP, and related enterprise systems.
  • Build and maintain SQL queries and data models to support scalable reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and recurring reports across Sales Operations, Customer Service, Rebates, Accounts Receivable, and compensation performance.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting outputs.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to support business decisions and performance improvement.



Sales Operations & Reporting Support



  • Support territory planning, quota setting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Provide KPI and dashboard support across Sales Operations and adjacent functions, including Customer Service, Rebates, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Maintain and optimize SaaS CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva) to ensure data quality and usability.
  • Improve operational workflows through documentation, standardization, and automation.
  • Use SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to manage reporting content, documentation, and collaboration.



Compensation Analysis



  • Support sales compensation plan modeling, administration, and analysis.
  • Validate commission calculations and resolve payout discrepancies.
  • Analyze compensation trends and plan effectiveness to ensure alignment with performance goals.
  • Support monthly and quarterly commission processes and reporting.



Reporting & Planning



  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages for leadership.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and performance metrics across commercial and operational functions.
  • Analyze trends across sales, service, rebate, and receivables data to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Support annual planning cycles, including quota and target development.


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, IT, and Commercial teams to align data, systems, and reporting.
  • Translate complex datasets into concise insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives by providing analytical input and tracking deliverables.


  • Work closely with other team members and departments to research and help resolve rebate and sales tracing related issues. Identify and report systemic or recurring problems to Department Management
  • Work within the team for any special projects that are assigned to the department. For example, performing system testing and coordinating such activities with other members of the organization. In addition, work with department management to develop pertinent testing scenarios.
  • Assist Department Management with training new Rebate Coordinators as well as cross-training existing employees on Rebate Administration systems and processes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • 75% sitting in an office environment, spent on a computer/telephone; 25% interacting with employees and management in meetings, etc.
  • Mobility and availability required to complete meetings.


  • Work in a smoke-free, office setting. This position interacts extensively with customers and employees within corporate headquarters.
