Who is Saint Louis University? Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. Under general direction, is responsible for assisting with the management of a competitive NCAA Division I women's basketball program; assists with conditioning, practices, recruiting, and travel arrangements.

Job Duties

  • Assists head coach in running team practices; oversees practices; provides group and one-on-one instruction; assists with player development; remains informed about student-athletes' academic progress.

  • Performs recruiting-related activities: contacts high school players through written or verbal communication; travels to various high schools to scout games; assesses the skills and abilities of potential student-athletes; provides feedback to thehead coach.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of women's basketball concepts/strategies and NCAA rules and regulations

  • Knowledge of physical conditioning techniques and weight training

  • Knowledge of basic statistics

  • Leadership and motivational skills

  • Ability to assess athletic talent

  • Ability to serve as a positive role model

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, supplemented with two (2) years of playing/coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.
