Type: Full Time, Exempt

Position

As an intern you will be assisting with various departmental activities as determined and directed by the department manager. You will be responsible for assisting staff with daily duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing, document creation, and coordination activities.

What you will do:

  • Shadowing members of the assigned department as they perform their duties.
  • Assisting with daily departmental duties such as research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete records.
  • Preparing reports and other documents.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learning how to work as part of a departmental team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
  • Help develop process documentation
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about department and office operations.
  • Typically our engineering COOP work will fall into one of the following categories:
    • New Product Introduction
    • Production Support
    • Special Projects

What you will need to be successful:

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and proven ability to work with detailed information/data.
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment, Microsoft Office programs, and basic awareness of ERP module and systems.
  • Ability to organize, conduct and schedule meetings.
  • Experience in composites or other manufacturing is preferred.

Working Conditions

While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment
  • Exposure to contaminants
  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled
  • Shared workspaces with other employees
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime)
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.

  • Ear Plugs - Earmuffs
  • Full Face Shield
  • Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)
  • Protective Apron
  • Respirator
  • Safety Glasses - Safety Goggles
