The Sign Installation Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all job related installation activities. This includes final quality control and organizing products for jobs so they are ready on time for installation. We are a full service, custom sign shop that provides quality products and services to our awesome customers. Work Arrangement: This position is able to work onsite at our Lansing SuperSign Office (1200 Marquette St, Lansing, MI 48906).

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

An offer of employment with MSU Federal Credit Union and affiliates is contingent upon the agreed work arrangement (onsite/hybrid/remote) and work location. MSU Federal Credit Union may or may not be able to accommodate temporary or permanent changes to work arrangements or allow employment outside the city and/or state of residency in which the new hire resides at the time of offered employment.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • Compensation for this position is based on experience, rates starting at $20.00+/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Read and understand written job instructions.
  • Participate in the daily work start meeting.
  • Review job tickets and schedule jobs for installation.
  • Manage and coordinate the installation This includes updating the Google Installation Calendar.
  • Communicate with the Production Manager to ensure product is complete and ready for upcoming installations
  • Act as a final quality control to ensure finished goods match job requirements and are ready for installation, and ensure installed jobs meet customer and safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Installation Site Supervisor to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on
  • Ensure installation teams have the necessary tools to complete projects suc
  • Manage the fleet of company installation vehicles. This includes the schedule and coordination of periodic maintenance and DOT inspections if applicable.
  • Conduct site surveys when necessary to determine feasibility of jobs and gather information for quoting.
  • Work with third party utility service marking (MissDig) to locate and mark prior to work being started
  • Submit Sign and/or electrical permit applications when needed from proper state, county, city and townships.
  • Act as a backup installer and flex installer when demand dictates.
  • Inventory and monitor company tools and notify management when replacement tools are
  • Read construction-style blueprints to ensure proper installation of signage.
  • Comfortable working independently without direct supervision for extended periods of time.
  • Other production tasks and duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Michigan driver's license and Michigan Medical Card for Chauffer's License.
  • Experience in construction or a skilled trade is preferred.
  • Strong customer relations, service skills, and a positive & patient attitude imperative.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate a computer, including Microsoft suite and internet browsers.
  • The ability to perform basic Shop Math including reading measuring equipment.
  • Able to work with power tools, including saws, drills, and angle grinders.
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment.
  • Motivated, self-starter who can work independently.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • This position requires onsite presence at the employee's assigned location for all scheduled shifts.
  • May be required to remain standing, seated or stooped in a stationary position for an extended period.
  • Ability to operate standard office technology, equipment, and tools, which includes frequent use of a computer.
  • Frequently needs to move about inside or outside of an office area.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, such as working from heights. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the exposure.
  • Frequently moves equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds between areas of buildings.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
  • This position requires the ability to refrain from tobacco use while at customer locations and while inside company vehicles, including smoking, vaping, and chewing tobacco, in accordance with company policies.
