Advanced Practice Provider Manager (NP/PA/ APP)- Anesthesia Inpatient and Outpatient

This newly created leadership position offers an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant the opportunity to guide APP teams across inpatient and outpatient anesthesia, procedural sedation, chronic and acute pain services, and perioperative care. With a combination of management and clinical practice, the role provides broad institutional influence, meaningful program-building opportunities, and a supported pathway into APP leadership.

Formal management experience is not essential. This opportunity is particularly compelling for an APP with strong clinical experience, exceptional communication skills, leadership potential, adaptability, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships. The Role

As the APP Manager, you will lead across several distinct anesthesia-focused practice areas rather than a single clinic. You will build strong partnerships with frontline APPs and collaborate with clinic managers, physician leaders, administrators, medical directors, and department chairs to align clinical practice, workforce strategy, and operational priorities.

The current structure is approximately 70% management and 30% clinical practice, creating space to lead strategically while maintaining clinical credibility and connection with patients and care teams.

In this role, you will:

• Provide leadership for APP teams across anesthesia inpatient and outpatient services, procedural sedation, chronic pain, acute pain services, and perioperative and preoperative care.

• Build trusted relationships with frontline APPs and establish consistent communication across multiple clinical areas.

• Partner with a dedicated administrator as a primary operational contact for the supported service lines.

• Advance optimization and efficiency initiatives within ambulatory practices.

• Lead program development efforts in inpatient settings and help define future growth opportunities.

• Support workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and transition-to-practice initiatives.

• Strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration among APPs, physicians, clinical leaders, administrators, and department leadership.

• Help develop the growing procedural sedation service, including workflows, onboarding, and long-term program direction.

• Apply independent judgment within a collaborative, accessible leadership environment that values initiative without micromanagement.

Success will begin with learning the distinct dynamics and operational needs of each practice, developing engagement plans, and establishing relationships across clinical and administrative teams. Over time, you will become an integral member of the APP leadership structure, contributing to workforce growth, program expansion, and the continued evolution of advanced practice within anesthesia services.
