Industrial Trainer

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Human Resources, Education, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred
• Training certifications or safety-related credentials are a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Experience Requirements

• Experience developing and delivering training programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience conducting classroom, workshop, and hands-on training sessions
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production operations, and workplace safety procedures
• Experience creating training materials, assessments, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Experience tracking training records, audits, and compliance activities
• Learning Management System (LMS) experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess training needs and develop effective learning programs
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including HR, Engineering, Production, and Safety
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Passion for employee development, quality improvement, and workplace safety

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk throughout the manufacturing facility regularly
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed
• Ability to work in a plant environment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and production operations

Job Duties

• Identify training gaps, key job functions, and critical skill requirements throughout the organization
• Develop and manage comprehensive cross-training programs to support workforce flexibility
• Partner with Engineering and Production teams to create and maintain SOPs and training documentation
• Facilitate instructor-led, hands-on, and on-the-job training programs
• Train employees on measuring tools, hand tools, blueprint reading, quality standards, and safe work practices
• Manage training matrices, audits, retraining schedules, and employee training records
• Oversee safety checklists and support compliance initiatives
• Create training manuals, presentations, assessments, and practical exercises
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvement strategies
• Collaborate with managers and supervisors to align training programs with business objectives
• Support safety, quality, and operational improvement initiatives across departments
• Provide supervisory support within production operations when needed
