Job Summary Will conduct independent and collaborative research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the development of innovative solutions. The fellow will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and collaborate with a team of researchers.Qualifications Education: MD/PhD or equivalent Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $71,750.00/Annual Additional Job Details (if applicable) POSITION SUMMARY: Proposes, designs and undertakes mentored, innovative projects or challenges to develop new machine learning software for retinal imaging. Designs and performs analyses of produced data and presents the outcomes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Doctoral degree (MD or PhD) with more than 1 year experience in research, with background in mathematics, computational science, computer science, statistics, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, image processing, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, visual science and ophthalmology. Strong programming skills (e.g., C++, Python, R, MATLAB) and in-depth understanding of statistics and machine learning. Linux cluster experience is a plus. Proven publication track record. WORKING CONDITIONS: Lab setting. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Possible lifting of 10 to 20 lbs., depending on nature of chosen project(s).
