As a Armed Security Officer Afternoon Community Center in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will engage with visitors and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, courtyards, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with established site procedures; report unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
