To assist in the day to day maintenance of all Recreational Services facilities, equipment and grounds for the benefit of the members and the university community. Responsibilities: Assist with preventative maintenance and general repair of fitness equipment including prescribed routine cleaning and inspection of equipment. Assist with event set-up and tear down. Assist with outdoor field and grounds maintenance responsibilities. Assist with locker maintenance. Keep facilities in excellent condition while also providing great customer service to our members. Works cooperatively with other area of the department to achieve established goals. Knowledge of all policies and procedures of the facilities. Promotes a safe, clean, and functional environment. Mandatory attendance at training meetings. Performs other work as assigned. Qualifications: Outstanding customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with various groups through different situations. Ability to use independent judgment. Strong problem-solving skills. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to work holidays and breaks preferred. Rate of pay:$11.50/hour Location: Campus Recreation & Wellness Center, Field House, and Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Center
