Position Summary and Responsibilities:



The purpose of the Team Lead Inventory Control position is to assist the Inventory Control Supervisor.


* Assigns, directs, and monitors the work of the returns crew in their process of unloading trucks, putting products in stock and other related work.


* Supervise inventory control process to ensure product is available and adequate for product resale.


* Produce and analyze product reports and perform other administrative duties to optimize operational efficiency.


* Assist Inventory Control Supervisor with duties as needed.


* Ensure Inventory Control Associates perform assigned duties.


* Provide feedback to Inventory Control Supervisor as needed.



Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



* Minimum one year of warehouse experience required


* Minimum one year of leadership experience preferred


* Food service industry experience preferred


* Knowledge of FDA and USDA guidelines


* Microsoft Office experience a must, including Word, Excel and Outlook


* Data entry (10-key by touch) skills required


* Knowledge of warehouse RF system and using an RF scanner


* Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications


* Exceptional communication skills


* Professional phone-etiquette skills


* Self-starter with ability to multi-task


* Excellent organization skills


* Ability to work in fast-paced environment


* Customer-focused


* Strong attention to detail


* Good problem-solving skills



Physical Requirements:



* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions


* Able to read product lists and packages


* Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend


* Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time


* Ability to handle product weighing up to 100 lbs.


* Ability to repetitively lift


* Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.


* Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs


* Must be able to work in different warehouse temperature zones.


* Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery horns)
