Position description

Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Department of Neurological Surgery

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are particularly interested in neurosurgeon candidates with clinical and academic research interests (basic or translational in focus) in spine surgery. This is a full- time UCSF Neurosurgery Position with clinical duties at UCSF Medical Center (Parnassus) campus. Responsibilities include clinical service, research, and teaching residents and medical students. Candidate must possess an MD, MD/PhD, or an equivalent degree by the time of hire. The total compensation for this position ranges from 450k-600k, with the eligibility to participate in an incentive compensation program based on applicable performance metrics, after years two or three, which has an offering of an average of 30% base. Department does not cap productivity incentive.

Total compensation at the University of California, San Francisco includes your base salary, which is determined by your rank and step at appointment, and negotiated pay for Health Sciences Compensation Plan members. Faculty who are members of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan may also be eligible for additional incentive pay.
