Located in the vibrant Tuscan Village development in Salem, NH, the center combines cutting-edge medical expertise with a seamless patient experience, ensuring high-quality care close to home.We are seeking a Full-time, 40-hour Orthopedic Tech/Medical Assistant to support our Orthopedic suite onsite Monday through Friday. The shifts for this role rotate between 8:30am-5:00pm and 7:30am-4:00pm. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Medical Assistant team while also serving as an Orthopedic Tech, supporting our providers with durable medical equipment (DME) and assisting with the care of our orthopedic patients. Summary Under the supervision, provides specialized support in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of orthopedic conditions. Assists in the application of casts, braces, splints, and other orthopedic devices, and may also assist in surgical procedures. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Set up and apply traction in accordance with standard procedures and instructions. -Assist with the application of casts, braces, and prostheses. Requisition, store, and dispense supplies as directed. -Inspect and maintain orthopedic equipment. -Instruct selected patients in cast care, simple exercises, and crutch or cane use. Apply sterile and non-sterile dressings. -Make splints, slings and foot pieces. -May make rounds with doctors of all orthopedic patients and carry out instructions. -Cut and fashion devices from metal, plastic, leather and wood using equipment and hand tools.
