OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, or Certified Nurse Midwife in Beautiful Portland and Scarborough, Maine

Join a talented team focused on compassionate, expert, and personalized care for women.MaineHealth OBGYN Generalists in Portland, Maine, with offices in Portland and Scarborough, are seeking anAdvanced Practice Professional with women's health experience -Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Associate (PA), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)tojoin our outpatient practice.This is a full-time (.9 FTE) benefitted position. Help support our busy, outpatient OB/GYN practices with the support of our attending OB/GYN physicians. This provider willmanage a broad range of Women's Health conditions, including pre and postnatal care, as well as provide full-scope gynecologic care across the reproductive spectrum. The position is focused on outpatient care of obstetrical and gynecologic patients, and includes clinical care coordination of obstetrical services, gynecologic preventative healthcare, family planning, management of acute and chronic gynecologic concerns, as well as menopausal care.

The candidate is expected to have completed an accredited certified nurse midwifery, nurse practitioner or physician associate program. Experience in women's health is preferred. A successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, flexibility, a desire to work with a diverse and medically complicated patient population, and an interest in working with learners of varying levels. They will also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:BSN/MSN and successful completion of nurse midwifery program accredited by the ACNM orsuccessful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate program.
  • License/Certifications:Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Midwife as required in the State of Maine. Current BLS certification.
  • Experience: Women's Health experience preferred. Experience in common gynecologic procedures such as IUD and contraceptive implant management, as well as endometrial biopsies is preferred.
  • Ability and interest in caring for moderate to high-risk pregnancies in a supported environment.
  • Collaborative approach to patient care, including working with residents and medical students.

The pay range for this position is $109,659 to $141,911annually based on the candidate's level of experience.
