Vessel Fitter

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow welding specifications, safety procedures, and work instructions.
• Welding certifications are a plus for qualified welding positions.

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience as a Welder, Pipe Welder, Structural Welder, Fabricator, or Industrial Welder preferred.
• Experience with GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), grinding, fitting, and fabrication processes is beneficial.
• Inconel pipe welding experience is highly preferred for applicable positions.
• Familiarity with industrial shop environments and welding safety practices required.

• Ability to provide and maintain required welding tools and PPE.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify potential quality concerns.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver welding equipment, tools, and materials.
• Comfortable working in manufacturing, fabrication, and industrial environments.
• Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods, including welding hoods, face shields, gloves, hard hats, and safety glasses.
• Ability to perform repetitive welding, grinding, and material handling tasks safely.

Job Duties

• Perform welding, fitting, grinding, and fabrication tasks while meeting quality and production requirements.
• Use welding equipment, grinders, and related tools to complete assigned projects according to specifications.
• Inspect completed welds and workpieces to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain all required personal tools, equipment, and safety gear necessary to perform job duties.
• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and welding best practices at all times.
• Ensure proper use of welding hoods, face shields, gloves, grinder guards, and other safety equipment while working.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any safety or quality concerns to supervision.
• Support additional shop, fabrication, and production activities as assigned.
